Intoxicating
There is almost everything on the tour’s drink menu: spritzer, wine, spirits, beer and, moreover, delicious cocktails. We show a few places in our local region where such tasty drinks can be found. In terms of the history of culture, we can be most proud of the spritzer, and we will find out the whys during the tour. Be careful while tasting and drink in moderation, as you are riding a bike!
(We only mention in parentheses, if you wish to taste them, pay attention to the order, because you know: "Wine after beer, always - beer after wine, torments you.")
Animals!
Do you like animals? Then pay attention! We have gathered various options for you, where you can meet furry, feathered, finned, domestic and exotic animals, and in many cases up close. Would you like to walk an alpaca? Would you like to know how the residents of the zoo are fed? Would you like to watch a horse-theatre production? You can do all this and much more if you choose this tour.

Hiking tour in the park forests along the Danube
As a young child (and let us be honest, even as an adult), many of us were amazed and attracted by the mysterious world of South American and African rainforests and jungles, the wild cats, the colourful birds, and the countless monkey species. The tours we offer may not be in America or on the African continent, but no matter how strange it may sound, we invite you into a rainforest now. How is it possible? The floodplain park forests along the Danube are the Central European counterparts of the tropical forests.
In vino veritas - The youngest and with the longest history
One of the oldest wine regions of Hungary, dynamically developing wineries, quality wine production, beautiful countryside that attracts the visitors, millennial culture and world heritage site, rows of cellars, tasty wines: this is the Pannonhalma wine region. Discover the wineries in the varied vineyards; taste the heavenly juices and discover the other sights of the area!
Though it is unusual, we have put together several mini tours for you within the tour, typically with two wineries ‘in the lead role’, so you can comfortably explore, on foot, the countryside and taste the fruit of the vineyards everywhere, over several days.
The list of wineries is only a short one. What else would you add, and what would be the theme of the new mini wine tour?
Gastro legends in Győr
Many guidebooks advise tourists to observe where the locals eat when exploring a new town, because they will not be disappointed in those restaurants. In this tour, we have collected many restaurants and dishes from Győr, that are almost legends now. We have compiled the list so we can find everything in the city centre, and so we can combine gastronomy with a cosy sightseeing tour. Let us see the order of the meals: have a grilled mushroom sandwich for snack at 10 a.m., then have a cup of good strong black coffee and have lunch in the Milk Bar! As a dessert, try the divine Napoleon cake in the afternoon and the Venice Dream ice cream in the summer, then book a table at the Matróz for dinner! Enjoy your meal!
How it's made
The kids can still marvel at the world. They are curious. They are interested in the whys and the wherefores. They want to know how things are made. Be a child again, dare to be a curious researcher and explorer again! If you take this tour, you will get an answer to how chocolate or our daily bread is made, enter a meat factory and the world-famous Audi factory, and finally learn the secrets of wine-making in a winery.
Tastes, prayers, loves
Elizabeth Gilbert’s highly successful autobiographical novel has now become a classic novel. An American woman goes into the world to figure out who she really is and what life path she should take. She visits magical places, heals her body and soul, and finds love until everything gains a new meaning for her.
You do not need to travel thousands of kilometres, as even our area offers culinary adventures to you, and here you can find silence in the noise of the world; you can immerse yourself and pray in our beautiful churches. And, of course, we show you places that can be associated with love. ;)
Eat, pray, love, in one word: live!
Twiggy Szigetköz I (Adventure in the Kisbodak tributary system)
Imagine that you walk in a magical world! Far from the civilization, on a winding river, in fairy-tale landscapes. As you roam, you will meet reeds, swamps, forests in water and countless waterfowl. Roe, red deer or wild boar may also appear on the shore. You are surrounded by peace and tranquillity… This world exists not only in your imagination, but also in reality: the beautiful and romantic tributary system of Kisbodak offers you all this wonder!
We offer you a round trip at the Lake Öregsziget and the Bodaki branch end. Before, during, and after the water tour, do not miss the cultural-historical curiosities!
Pilgrimage route in the Rye Island (Csallóköz)
The St. Mary Way is a network of pilgrimage routes across Central Europe, connecting the shrines of the Virgin Mary. The Way has two main axes: the pilgrimage route from west to east connects Mariazell in Austria with Șumuleu Ciuc (Csíksomlyó) in Transylvania. While the north-south pilgrimage route connects Czestochowa, the Pauline shrine of the Polish with Medjugorje in Bosnia. This branch is still under construction. So, the pilgrimage route St. Mary Way is still being built. The route of the hiking tour we offer is the same as the route of the future Marianka/Máriavölgy pilgrimage. The starting point of the pilgrimage is Báč/Bácsfa and the destination is Marianka (Bratislava). The total distance is 53 km, which can be covered in 3 days.
Thermal tour
The name of the next tour including the word “thermal” can be misleading as it is really a bicycle tour. We recommend it to those who would like to cycle, but also desire a little relaxation at the end of the day. The route we offer connects the medicinal and adventure spas of the Rye Island as part of a bicycle tour. The participants of the tour have the opportunity to visit each of the thermal spas, get to know the landscape of the Rye Island while cycling, and protect the Nature, as their emission is almost zero. The starting point is Komárom and the destination is Dunajská Streda. The chosen route is also favourable for those who are willing to cycle “only” to the destination, as there is an (indirect) train line between the two towns.
Water tour on the Little Danube
The Little Danube forms the northern border of the Rye Island and has provided the local people with high-quality water and food throughout history. Today, fishing is banned almost in the entire river as it is part of an important environmental zone. Nowadays, it is used mainly by enthusiasts of water sports, using a boat, kayak, canoe, or even raft. The tour we offer is longer than the usual routes, as we row almost along the entire Little Danube during the water tour. Three days, nearly 80 km, in the wonderful nature.
Water tour on the river Váh (Vág)
The Váh is the longest river in Slovakia and forms the eastern border of the Rye Island (Žitný ostrov); it flows into the Danube River at the town of Komárno. The floodplain forests on the banks of the river are similar to those that enrich the banks of the Danube. The coastline is sandy at some places, almost “beach-like”, which makes it easy for enthusiasts to push their boats into the water. The one-day water tour we offer starts in the town of Kolárovo and ends in Komárno at the confluence of the two rivers. The distance is a total of 23 km offering a 5-hour boat trip for the lovers of active tourism. However, if you wish to add sightseeing to your water tour, both the starting point and the destination are perfect for this purpose. Perhaps the best-known watermill in the Rye Island is the ship mill in Kolárovo, which commemorates the agricultural history of the area. Komárno is also a perfect destination for sightseeing, especially for those who love history, as the fortification system and the György Klapka Square are also sights one should not miss.
