The weather is nice and the weekend is coming up, how about a bike ride to some scenic location? Riding around the Balaton is too much of a challenge. We should begin with a smaller lake, but which way to go? The answer is simple: head for the Szigetköz and Csallóköz.

Thermal tour
The name of the next tour including the word “thermal” can be misleading as it is really a bicycle tour. We recommend it to those who would like to cycle, but also desire a little relaxation at the end of the day. The route we offer connects the medicinal and adventure spas of the Rye Island as part of a bicycle tour. The participants of the tour have the opportunity to visit each of the thermal spas, get to know the landscape of the Rye Island while cycling, and protect the Nature, as their emission is almost zero. The starting point is Komárom and the destination is Dunajská Streda. The chosen route is also favourable for those who are willing to cycle “only” to the destination, as there is an (indirect) train line between the two towns.
Strike a pose!
Have you ever taken a selfie with a statue of a potato beetle or fountain made of soda water bottles? Pose with unique, interesting pieces of public artwork that give you a glimpse into the past. Seek out the Szigetköz commercial railways memorial built in memory of the largely forgotten local company, visit one of the former ports, and while your there taste grandmother’s fresh baked bread. And of course, do not forget to take lots of photos.
On the trail of the Romans - Ripa Pannonica
From Britain to Mesopotamia, the Roman Empire conquered the entirety of the Mediterranean coastal regions and at its peak, controlled a 6 000 000 km stretch of dry land. Defending such an expansive empire that was also very diverse geographically and culturally was only possible under very organized conditions. The several thousand kilometer long Limes (Latin: “path”) served this purpose, the borderline traversing thousands of kilometers across mountains and valleys, winding along the river lines was given the name “ripa.” The section of Roman limes along the Danube in Hungary bears the name Ripa Pannonica. Visit each of the municipalities where the remnants of the limes can be seen. And while you're on the tour, do not forget that you are at a potential World Heritage sight, as this section of the limes is among the Hungarian sights on the UNESCO world heritage tentative list.
