Located behind the Village Museum, these motors powered all sorts of work equipment (pumps, saws, grinders, grindstones, threshers, chaff-cutters and generator) at one time. These are irreplaceable items due to their age and status as technological rarities. These artifacts dating back 100 years represent the ancient times of the internal combustion engine.

Antal Fruhmann (1908-1987) stove master of Győr left his house and workshop to the city museum in his last will and testament. The stove museum opened here is unique in the country. The significant history of stove making in Győr, the memory of the now lost Mágner, Dachauer, Magyary, and Fruhmann workshops, and the interiors of the exhibition rooms make the expression “warmth of home” directly experienceable for all age-groups.

Thermal tour

The name of the next tour including the word “thermal” can be misleading as it is really a bicycle tour. We recommend it to those who would like to cycle, but also desire a little relaxation at the end of the day. The route we offer connects the medicinal and adventure spas of the Rye Island as part of a bicycle tour. The participants of the tour have the opportunity to visit each of the thermal spas, get to know the landscape of the Rye Island while cycling, and protect the Nature, as their emission is almost zero. The starting point is Komárom and the destination is Dunajská Streda. The chosen route is also favourable for those who are willing to cycle “only” to the destination, as there is an (indirect) train line between the two towns.

Nyúl-Pannonhalma - red

The weather is nice and the sun is shining so get out your bike and take the tour with us from Nyúl to Pannonhalma.

Along the Danube by bike

Anyone who regularly searches for tours on the website may come across headlines that are not clear, and the type of the tour is not obvious at first sight. In this case, however, the name of the bike tour clearly reveals what the tourists who choose this route can expect. Using the bike path along the Danube, we invite you to take the 64 km long cycle tour, where the untouched “European rainforests” and the man-made Danube landscape are alternating. The route starts and ends in the village of Hamuliakovo (Gútor), so you do not need to worry about getting back to your car.
