The best-known place of pilgrimage in the region. Legend has it that the sick and wounded of the troops retreating from the Turkish were healed by a miraculous spring. It is said that not much later a fisherman from Kálnok found a linden wood carving of the Virgin Mary in a well and built it a tiny chapel and hermitage beside the spring from which the water was used mainly for pain in the legs, feet, and eyes. The chapel we see here presently is a Neo-Romanesque structure, has a steeple in the middle and one aisle. A portal welcomes visitors into this place of pilgrimage. The traditional feast days are Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Trinity Sunday, Visit of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth (July 2) and the next Sunday, the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, Mary the Maiden, and the name day of Mary.

One of Hungary’s most significant monuments stands on the main square of Lébény, the Romanesque Saint James Church built in the 13th century. The walls of carved ashlar are imposing, only to be emphasized by the two gates and their beautiful 13th-century ornamental motifs.
This was once a Benedictine Abbey and medieval monastery. Its main patron saint is the apostle Saint James the Greater whose grave millions seek out in the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostella every year. The building has seen tumultuous times which have left their mark on the place of worship over the past 800 years, but it is still intact and rises dignified out of its surroundings. The lofty walls are built from ashlar and the overall effect is further emphasized by the sight of the two gates ornamented with beautiful motifs from the period. The ornamented main columns, the original groin vaults and the elaborate carved wooden altars from a 19th-century workshop harmonize wonderfully with the simple elegance of the walls.

The population of Kunsziget maintains a rare tradition since the Turkish times. The custom preserves the memory of the women who rushed to the grave of the buried Jesus but found the grave empty.
Starting from the stone cross in front of the church in the early morning on Easter Sunday, and following the words of the main singer, they pray and sing with a single candlestick in their hands. The procession visits the "upper" cross at the roadside and goes to the cemetery, where after a common prayer at the cross, everyone rushes to the grave of their relatives to carry the news of the resurrection to the dead under the light of the candle they carry. Then they go back together to the cross in front of the church.
Of course, the "stations" (the three crosses) can be visited at any time of the year.
