Want to time-travel? Are you curious to see how rural folks lived and worked 100 years ago? If you think about it, it was not so long ago, maybe your great-grandparents were children at the time. The world has changed so much that we cannot imagine living without electricity, a bathroom or computers, but 100 years ago, people had none of these things. Take this tour and journey into the past, the exhibitions, historically furnished houses and activities will give you a peek at what country life was like back then.
The real estate that is home to the historically furnished house was purchased in 1933 to be used as a doctor's office and Dr. Ferenc Fábián began his practice there in 1939 as the first physician to actually reside in the village. The house also functioned as the doctor's residential home. Lászlóné Kertai, a teacher, began the collection of the village's historical objects in the 1980s with the enthusiastic help of her students. The ethnographic exhibition showcases the tools of farmwork and fishing once used in the village, the objects of religious life, the old rural kitchen and the so-called „clean room” (This was a room of the house that was kept furnished, but unused and always clean. The room was religious in nature and often included an altar. The “clean room” was used for important occasions, such as weddings and wakes.) Apart from the historical objects, visitors can view many interesting written records and photographic materials.
The aim of the Village Museum is to present local cultural and historical traditions to the visitor. Its kitchen, which includes a furnace, allows you a peek into the gastronomical traditions of old, such as preparing food in a furnace and baking bread. You can taste traditional village fare as well as the characteristic dishes of the Rábaköz region. Three exhibition rooms showcase collections of tradition tools. You can see local products as here as well and take part in traditional programs that show visitors the ins and outs of trades that are disappearing today. To honor the person and the work of the former owner of the historically furnished house, it is named for Dr. Ferenc Fábián who was the first local doctor residing in the municipality.

The walls of the over 100-year-old house are built of mud bricks and its roof of thatch. Inside there are two rooms with earthen floors and the kitchen has a furnace with an open chimney. The historically furnished home features historical artifacts of life in the town of Kajárpéc and the everyday life of farmers in the past.
It is the result of the Craft Circle and other non-profit efforts that the building has been given a new lease on life. The Historically Furnished House Fair is held here each year on Children's Day.

In vino veritas - The youngest and with the longest history
One of the oldest wine regions of Hungary, dynamically developing wineries, quality wine production, beautiful countryside that attracts the visitors, millennial culture and world heritage site, rows of cellars, tasty wines: this is the Pannonhalma wine region. Discover the wineries in the varied vineyards; taste the heavenly juices and discover the other sights of the area!
Though it is unusual, we have put together several mini tours for you within the tour, typically with two wineries ‘in the lead role’, so you can comfortably explore, on foot, the countryside and taste the fruit of the vineyards everywhere, over several days.
The list of wineries is only a short one. What else would you add, and what would be the theme of the new mini wine tour?
Hiking tour in the park forests along the Danube
As a young child (and let us be honest, even as an adult), many of us were amazed and attracted by the mysterious world of South American and African rainforests and jungles, the wild cats, the colourful birds, and the countless monkey species. The tours we offer may not be in America or on the African continent, but no matter how strange it may sound, we invite you into a rainforest now. How is it possible? The floodplain park forests along the Danube are the Central European counterparts of the tropical forests.
Pilgrimage route in the Rye Island (Csallóköz)
The St. Mary Way is a network of pilgrimage routes across Central Europe, connecting the shrines of the Virgin Mary. The Way has two main axes: the pilgrimage route from west to east connects Mariazell in Austria with Șumuleu Ciuc (Csíksomlyó) in Transylvania. While the north-south pilgrimage route connects Czestochowa, the Pauline shrine of the Polish with Medjugorje in Bosnia. This branch is still under construction. So, the pilgrimage route St. Mary Way is still being built. The route of the hiking tour we offer is the same as the route of the future Marianka/Máriavölgy pilgrimage. The starting point of the pilgrimage is Báč/Bácsfa and the destination is Marianka (Bratislava). The total distance is 53 km, which can be covered in 3 days.
