Heroes' Garden

The minister Gábor Horváth worked for 39 years serving the village, he is responsible for building the Heroes’ Garden and in it the Chapel of the Peregrinus Wanderers as well as the expansion of the local school. The chapel’s statue was stolen in the late 1960s and has not been recovered since. A statue was placed on public property depicting a soldier returning from the war holding a military flag. The chapel was reconsecrated in 2014, the Saint Peregrine statue was put back into its place and two plaques were set in place in the Heroes’ Garden to honor the memories of the World Wars.

Jankó Memorial Plaque

Writer and cultural politician Zoltán Jankó was born in Baka and spent his childhood here. A plaque in town hall set in place in 2006 honors his memory.

Lourdes Chapel

Lourdes Chapel assumed to have been built in 1868 stands in the municipality's ‘main square’ as a place of pilgrimage honoring the victims of the 1862 cholera outbreak.

Church of Our Lady of Hungary

In 1900 the Baroness Krisztina Wenckheim had a Neo-Romanesque church built, it was consecrated by the auxiliary bishop of Győr, Ernő Kotrovácz.

Calvary

The Baroque monument depicts the crucified Jesus and the two thieves. The black cottonwood beside the Calvary scene is a protected natural asset. The tree, with a trunk circumference of 550 cm is approximately 100 years old.

Showcases an extensive collection of folk furnishings, everyday tools, and equipment, photos, etc characteristic to the municipality and its region.

War Memorial Wall

Hungary, 9165 Tárnokréti Fő u. 65.

100 citizens of the municipality enlisted in WWII, of them 33 were young boys. The war claimed the lives of 21 heroes. The memorial is dedicated to them.

Tárnokrét Lutheran Church

Their building of monument status is a Baroque-style Lutheran church built in 1785.
