This pilgrimage includes sights such as the Benedictine Abbey of Pannonhalma, downtown Győr, then from Lébény, we head for Mosonmagyaróvár and Rajka, then it is on to Slovakia and Austria. In Wolfsthal we will join the official pilgrimage heading for Santiago de Compostela, the Camino de Santiago.

When we travel, there is one important thing we are all curious about apart from the sights: the local food and drink offerings. Many of us like to taste these because, as they say, each meal is an adventure. We highly recommend that you partake of the regional Szigetköz dishes, try local products and refreshments. Have a mid morning snack at Lipóti Bakery, eat lunch at a traditional restaurant in Felső-Szigetköz, enjoy a cold beer in the afternoon (pace yourself!) and/or have a coffee and try the vinegar fish in Győr. Enjoy your meal!

Indeed even kings and emperors have spent time in this nation of ours for one reason or another, perhaps they were dealing out justice, sitting counsel or fighting on the battlefield. Walk the paths they once did and become acquainted with the artefacts and relics that uphold their memories, stop for a moment and experience living history.
