Saint John the Baptist Parish Church

The single-tower church has three bells. All of the present bells were made in 1922 in the Budapest workshop of László Szlezák bell-founder. The organ was made in 1855 by organ builder Vince Mozsnyi. 3x4 m oil paintings made by artist Károly Csanaky in 1958 ornament the church walls.

Water Mill

The three-story wooden mill building has a structure that is considered unique in Central Europe. A small open-air museum has been established beside the water mill including the accessories of rural life on the waterfront.

Alvég Stone Cross

At the near-to-Győr end of Szent István Street is the Stone Cross of Alvég, which was placed there in 1745 in the old village (next to the Rábca). It has been in its current place since 1852. The local government had it renovated in 2009.

Gúta Water Mill Museum

A wooden bridge that looks like something out of a fairy tale leads to the water mill, it is 86 meters long making it the longest wooden bridge in Europe. The museum features a few parts of the original mill.

Memorial Chapel

The memory of the place where the village once stood is marked by the Memorial Chapel. In front of it, there is a granite column memorial to honor the fallen heroes of the revolution of 1848-49. The 'Kossuth' Battalion, a part of the Pöltenberg Corps who guarded the Abda crossing. It is said that the young Franz Joseph was present at the battle. The buried bodies of soldiers from the 19th century were found nearby. This place is the property of the Roman Catholic church who had it renovated in 2010.

Statue of Heroes

The Statue of Heroes stands toward the direction of Győr from the statue of the Immaculate Virgin Mary in the church parvis. The memorial was built for the local victims of World War I, it was dedicated on May 17, 1925. It was rededicated on October 23, 1991, by the local government and a pillow stone was added to the front of the memorial listing the names of the soldiers from Abda who died in World War II. The renovation of the memorial was completed by May 25, 2008, for the Heroes' Day celebration. The plaque was moved from the pillow stone to the column and the list of WWII victims was revised for accuracy.

Row of Chestnut Trees and Calvary Scene

The road from the church to the cemetery is lined with chestnut trees planted to honor those fallen in the First World War. Since 1993, a carved Calvary scene is included on the avenue.

The walls of the over 100-year-old house are built of mud bricks and its roof of thatch. Inside there are two rooms with earthen floors and the kitchen has a furnace with an open chimney. The historically furnished home features historical artifacts of life in the town of Kajárpéc and the everyday life of farmers in the past.

Potato Bug Statue

The bronze statue commemorates the fact that the first Hungarian sighting of the potato beetle, an insect that destroys the leaves of the potato plant, was in Hédervár in 1947. The plaque by the only statue in the country depicting a bug emphasizes that the artwork does not honor the pest, but rather the beginning of the organized protection of plants and crops which dates back to around the time when the potato beetle was discovered.
