The name of Kunsziget was once synonymous with high-quality produce and real parsley. Vegetables from the village were transported via horse-drawn carriages to the nearby Öttevény train station. The horse-drawn railway bridge leading toward Szigetköz, the Bolgányi Bridge is still used today. Centuries prior there was likely a toll collection station where the bridge stands today as well as the port. It thus made sense that the small railway line would cross the Moson Danube here. The bridge and the road leading up to it was renovated and expanded in 1994. The bridge gets its name from Bolgánypuszta, a municipality on the left bank of the Moson Danube, on the Dunaszeg side of the bridge. The bridge was last renovated in 2010 made possible by the joint efforts of the community.
