The Ursulite Saint Anne Church of Győr
Construction of the church began in 1762 with the support of Ádám Richter, a merchant from Győr and his wife, Anna Huber. According to traditional Ursuline architecture, the church was built parallel to the street located between the school and the dormitory. The Baroque church was built to honor Saint Anne. The beautiful main altar is made of wood with brown marble imitation painting. Originally the main altar bore a painting of Saint Anne by István Schaller painted in 1764. The bars of the sanctum are made from valuable wood in Baroque style. Under the choir, there is a Baroque crucifix of artistic value which was once in the sisters' oratory. The restored church was reconsecrated on November 3, 1997.
Blackbird's Nest
A blackbird sits in a nest built on the branch of an oak tree on the corner of Liszt Ferenc Street and Saru Lane. On the inner side of the two larger acorns, there are two holes which most likely served to light the blackbird's nest. The trade sign first advertised a grocery and later a restaurant.
