Mosonvármegye (Moson County) Museum
The collection of the Moson County Association for History and Archeology was first located in the grand room of the Town Hall. In 1887 it was moved to a room on the ground floor of the County Hall, however, after the construction of the new County Hall, the exhibition was moved to large, ornamented room on the second floor. As the collection grew, the available rooms became too small. In a 1904 decision, the County of Moson stated that a separate building must be constructed for the museum. The architect Béla Hőnel designed the building in the historicist style of the age. Construction was finished in 1912 placing the building among Hungary's oldest standing museums,
