From the 1920s, the members of the Reformed congregation of Győr-Szabadhegy wished to have their own church. Their cause was helped greatly when two of their benefactors donated a good amount of land to the church where they could build a school and housing for their teachers, but World War II interfered with the construction of the church. The idea of building a new church only came up at the end of the 1980s and construction work began under the ministry of Ferenc Bittner. The church was consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent in 1992 and this was when the first service was held. The tower was built in 1999. The church foremost serves the faith, but it has undertaken some cultural missions in past years as well, so concerts, book launches, exhibitions, and charity events are often held here as well.

Szabadhegy Church of Saint Anne
The first church, which stood where the Saint Anne's Church of Szabadhegy now stands was built in 1789. Due to the growing numbers of the congregation, it had become too small and as its state was deteriorating as well, parson Mihály Kostyán initiated the construction of the current church. The church we know today was consecrated on June 7, 1903, in honor of Saint Anne. The building underwent much strife during World War II with the tower receiving a strike. The careful and dedicated work of János Haller saw the church restored from the damages of the war. Painter Jószef Samodai contributed 5 frescoes to the church. For the 100 year anniversary of the church, the sanctum was also renovated: the liturgical space received a new altar, the church's lighting was modernized and the stained glass windows were completed. In the years following the tower received a new small bell.
Church of the Trinity
The church was consecrated on June 6, 1987. The church and the group of parish buildings amount to a collective area of 3000 m2. The parish house is a three-floor building, with the area of each floor 450 m2. In the basement, there are six classrooms for religious education and one large lecture hall. The middle floor is where the residential quarters are located, including the apartments of the parson and the chaplains along with the kitchen and a larger dining hall. The attic, which connects to the church's gallery serves as a place for the religious education of young people and it is suitable for devotion services for groups up to 25 people.
Battle of Győr Memorial
The Battle of Győr (Kismegyer June 14, 1809) was the only battle of the Napoleonic Wars fought on Hungarian soil as well as the last conflict in which the forces of Hungarian nobles’ uprising took part. The monument was built on the site of the battle to honor the heroes who fell here.
