Bezerédj Castle

The castle, along with its manor buildings presumably constructed for the administration of the Ménfő plains, was built in late Baroque style. it achieved its present-day state in the 19th century when the classicist carriage way was constructed. The building has been serving public education since 1988. The library is located here and the Erzsébet Galgóczy Memorial Room was created here in 1991. The 100 square meter arched hall houses the artifacts of the study and so-called ‘farmer’s style room’ of the Ménfő native writer’s Budapest apartment.

Püspökvár (Bishop's Castle)

The Püspökvár (Bishop's Castle) in Győr's historical downtown, is located at the highest point of Káptalandomb (Chapter House Hill) where the Moson Danube and the river Rába meet. Apart from the basilica, it is Győr's most ancient and significant monument. This is where the bishops of Győr reside. South of the residential tower is the simple Baroque building complex of the Bishop's Palace. Above the main entrance is the driveway perched on top of classicist columns. The spectacular Baroque staircase was built in the second half of the 18th century based on plans by Menyhért Hefele. The winter suites have been furnished with valuable Baroque furniture, whilst the summer homes contain Empire and Biedermeier furnishings. The Palace's Gothic chapel (Dóczy Chapel) was built from 1481 to 1486 by Bishop Orbán Nagylucsey Dóczy. It was restored by the Bishop Ferenc Zichy and expanded to its current form.

Belfry

A belfry with two bells was built in the 19th century. The congregation built a cross in front of it.

Heroes' Memorial

Beside the church, you can see the memorial built in honor the heroes of the World Wars. A relief ornaments the upper portion of the WWI memorial. The column built in memory of the heroes of WWII is made of black marble.

All Saints Church

The first written record of the church is from 1268. It valuable relics include: the statue of Mary titled The Queen of the World, the Blessed Virgin of Kolozsvár, a statue of Mary of Lourdes, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sacred Heart of Mary statues. A full renovation was carried out in 1993 with the help of the municipality’s citizens and the local government.

Khuen-Héderváry Castle

The castle gained its present Baroque form in the second half of the 18th century and later in the 19th century Károly Khuen-Héderváry applied the stylistic characteristics of Romanticism, but the building was shortly restored to its previous Baroque exterior. In most recent times, it has operated as a four-star castle hotel. Since its closing, it has not been accessible to visitors.

Mosonmagyaróvár Castle

The symbol of the city and its oldest monument. It lost its military significance in the 18th century. Today it houses the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences of István Széchenyi University.
