Writer and cultural politician Zoltán Jankó was born in Baka and spent his childhood here. A plaque in town hall set in place in 2006 honors his memory.

The beatified László Batthyány-Strattmann spent his childhood summers in Felbár. A plaque on the church's wall honors the 'doctor of the poor,' his relic can be found inside the church.

The old Amade family castle operates as a 5-star hotel today, it is owned by Mátyás Pfeifer and gained its Louis period characteristics upon its renovation in 1904.
