Museum House
One of the hidden gates of the castle can be found in a monument building in the heart of Győr which offers visitors a piece of the city’s history. The institution provides a place for contemporary local, national and international artists to introduce their works. It enriches the city’s cultural, religious life and tourism offerings by collaborating with a number of partners as well as providing the citizens of Gőyr with the opportunity to develop their sense of beauty and understanding of fine arts. This was the first of the ‘citizen’s houses’ (historically furnished houses) to open to tourists and locals. The ground floor houses a cafe and the first floor offers an exhibition of sculptures, the second floor houses temporary exhibitions as well as rooms that may be rented for events.
