Row of Cellars

One of Europe's largest deep steep-sided chines called the Szurdik can be found in the village of Nyúl. The valley is 8-10 meters wide and is enclosed by walls 15-20 meters high, a narrow path leads through it. The loess wall next to it, especially on Vaskapu Road, is lined with cellars characteristically cut into the rock, some of them are 6-10 meter long, 2 meter wide structures constructed 100-200 hundred years ago. These cellar entrances made of stone and lined with bricks are very quaint and charming structures. At Szél and Sons Inn and Cellar you will have the opportunity to taste some quality wines (just remember to pace yourself, you are riding a bike after all.)

Győrújbarát Roman Catholic Church
