The eclectic style synagogue was built between 1868-1870 by the Neologue Jewish congregation. The octagonal interior of the church, covered by a cupola and featuring a circular balcony is truly an impressive sight. The building was restored in 2006 houses a permanent exhibition as well as a variety of cultural programs.

On the southern side of the double bridge over the Rába, in one of the most beautiful spots in Győr, a memorial for the heroes of WWI was created in by the sculptor János Horvay in 1936, the monument was dedicated on July 3, 1938.
