Planted in 1896 to commemorate the 1000 years since the Conquest. This tree adorns the square in front of the Church of the Glorification of the Holy Cross.

The church was built in 1910 in Neo-Gothic style based on the plans of the architect Béla Hőnel. 

Dr. László Batthyány-Strattmann, the physician of the poor worked from his own home. The Batthyány Castle has been used for educational purposes since 1949 and houses a primary school even today.
