In 1991 Öttevény built a monument to honor their fallen heroes. The memorial is made of red stone, its roof is arched and has a double cross on the top. Both sides feature relief portraits as well as writing engraved into the sheets of granite.

The church was consecrated on August 25, 1929, by Bishop Béla Kapi with attendance of many church officials.

The belfry built in honor of the 1956 revolution was opened on October 21, 2006.
