One street, five churches
00:11:04 - Könnyű - Sightseeing
There is a place in Győr, Győr-Újváros (New City), where there is an abundance of churches of different denominations just a few meters away from one another. Karzat Színház Nonprofit Kft. has been building a successful series of programs on this idiosyncrasy for years (The Festival of the five Churches and the Five Church Advent). Apart from this, they offer a guided tour where visitors will become acquainted with the characteristics of the different faiths, their architecture and the possibility for peaceful, prosperous coexistence among different cultures and religions. Trade-sign tour

When you look up at them, you will see the past come to life. They each keep a page of living history and tell the story to those who will listen. Some are old, some new, some legendary, some antique, some modern, some made of wood and others of metal, some colorful, some somber. Their common trait, however, is that they all add something special to the inimitable atmosphere of the downtown. They provide sights to behold 24/7, they are places to meet up at and serve as town curiosities. These are the trade signs of Győr. We have collected a few of these for you to seek out and you may also want to add your favorites to the list.
Strike a pose!
04:29:02 - Medium - Bicycle tour
Have you ever taken a selfie with a statue of a potato beetle or fountain made of soda water bottles? Pose with unique, interesting pieces of public artwork that give you a glimpse into the past. Seek out the Szigetköz commercial railways memorial built in memory of the largely forgotten local company, visit one of the former ports, and while your there taste grandmother’s fresh baked bread. And of course, do not forget to take lots of photos.
